Mini Huayhuash Trek 4D/3N – The Best Short Huayhuash Experience

We begin with an early departure from Huaraz (3,100m) in a private vehicle, heading south through the picturesque towns of Recuay, Ticapampa, and Catac, passing the beautiful Laguna Conococha (4,100m). After reaching Chiquián (3,400m), we continue through the remote villages of Llamac (3,250m) and Pocpa (3,470m) before arriving at our first campsite, Cuartelhuain (4,100m), surrounded by breathtaking Andean scenery.

Today, we start trekking early, ascending through a rugged mountain trail towards Paso Rondoy (4,750m). From here, enjoy spectacular panoramic views of the Huayhuash mountain range. The descent takes us past the pristine Laguna Solteracocha, leading to our beautiful campsite at Laguna Jahuacocha (4,100m), one of the most scenic spots in the entire Cordillera Huayhuash.

After breakfast, we ascend towards Mirador Huacrish (4,790m), where we are rewarded with breathtaking 360° views of the Cordillera Huayhuash, including Jirishanca, Yerupajá, and Siula Grande. After capturing the spectacular scenery, we descend back to our camp at Laguna Jahuacocha for a relaxing afternoon.

Our final day starts with a gradual ascent to Paso Pampa Llamac (4,300m), offering us one last breathtaking view of the Huayhuash range. We then descend towards Llamac (3,250m), where our private transport will be waiting to take us back to Huaraz (3,100m). End of the trek!
