Our journey begins early in the morning as we depart from Huaraz and drive through the scenic Callejón de Huaylas. Along the way, we pass the stunning Conococha Lagoon (4,050m) before reaching Cuartelhuain (3,900m), where our trek begins. We ascend to the Cacananpunta Pass (4,700m), offering panoramic views of the Ninashanca and Rondoy peaks. Descending through the Andean valleys, we reach our first campsite at Mitococha Lagoon, surrounded by the towering peaks of Rondoy and Hirishanca.

We start our trek with a steady climb to Punta Carhuac Pass (4,650m), which offers breathtaking views of the Jirishanca and Yerupajá peaks. One of the most scenic days of the trek! We ascend to the Carnicero Pass (4,600m), traversing an incredible landscape dotted with glacial lakes such as Atocshaico and Carnicero. Along the way, we enjoy panoramic views of the Siula, Jirishanca, and Carnicero peaks before reaching our campsite at Huayhuash, a serene spot surrounded by snow-capped mountains.

Camping at: Cutatambo (4,250m)
Today is a challenge as we tackle the highest pass of the trek, Trapecio Pass (5,020m). This steep ascent rewards us with unparalleled views of jagged snow-covered peaks and deep-blue glacial lakes. As we descend, we navigate through the rocky terrain leading to Cutatambo, where we set up camp.

A long descent through the lush Guanacpatay Valley brings us to the charming Andean village of Huayllapa. We spend the night here, experiencing the local culture and preparing for the final stretch of our trek.

On our final day, we take a public transport ride from Huayllapa to Cajatambo, then continue to Pativilca and Barranca before heading back to Lima. Alternatively, you can return to Huaraz with the group.
