Cancellation Policy

1. Introduction

This Cancellation Policy applies to all treks, climbs, day tours and Machu Picchu excursions booked through our website. Please read carefully—by booking with us, you agree to these terms.

2. Cancellation by Client

  • 30+ days before departure: Full refund of all payments minus a 10% administrative fee.
  • 15–29 days before departure: 50% refund of total trip cost.
  • 7–14 days before departure: 25% refund of total trip cost.
  • Less than 7 days before departure or no‑show: No refund.

3. Cancellation by Company

We reserve the right to cancel any trip due to insufficient bookings, unsafe conditions, or force majeure (natural disasters, political unrest, strikes, pandemics). In such cases you may choose to:

  • Receive a full refund of all payments.
  • Reschedule to an alternative date (subject to availability).

4. Refund Terms

Refunds, when due, will be processed within 14 business days of cancellation confirmation, via the original payment method. Bank transfer fees and foreign exchange differences will be deducted from any refund.

5. Non‑Refundable Fees

The following fees are always non‑refundable:

  • Deposit or any partial payments on no‑show.
  • Permit fees for the Inca Trail once issued.
  • Administrative fees (10% of trip cost).

6. Force Majeure

Events beyond our control (e.g., extreme weather, earthquakes, government restrictions, health pandemics) may force cancellations. We will notify you as soon as possible and offer a full refund or alternate arrangements.

7. Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend that all clients purchase comprehensive travel insurance covering trip cancellation, medical emergencies, evacuation, and loss of personal belongings. Our policy does not cover any expenses you incur due to cancellations.

8. How to Request Cancellation

To cancel, please email us at [email protected] with your booking reference and reason for cancellation. You will receive a confirmation within 2 business days.

9. Effective Date

This policy is effective as of April 2025 and applies to all new and existing bookings unless superseded by a written agreement.
